Burn Co Barbeque

Some people talk about great barbecue. At Burn Co Barbeque, they just cook it. Founded in 2011 by Adam Myers and Robby Corcoran, Burn Co was born from a simple but powerful idea: real food, cooked over a real fire, made the best way humanly possible. Adam spent years at Tulsa's legendary Hasty Bake Charcoal Grills, mastering the craft of fire and smoke. Robby brought over a decade of restaurant experience to the table. Together, they created something Tulsa had never tasted before. Every single day, the team fires up over a dozen Hasty Bake charcoal grills and gets to work. Brisket, baby back ribs, pulled pork, house made sausages, hot links, Canadian bacon so good that other local restaurants actually buy it from them. Everything is trimmed, seasoned, and smoked fresh. When it is gone, it is gone. The vibe is no-frills and unapologetic. Picnic tables, graffiti walls, smoke in the air, and meat that makes people drive across state lines. Even Food Network star Alton Brown stopped by and said it was the best barbecue he had on the road. The line wraps around the door most days but people gladly wait and sometimes even get a free rib while they do. This is not a restaurant trying to impress anyone with fancy decor. Fixins Soul Kitchen

At Fixins Soul Kitchen, we believe food is more than a meal it's memory, culture, and connection. Born from the vision of NBA legend and former Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson and his wife Michelle, Fixins was built on something deeply personal: the soulful home cooking that brought Black families together for generations. From Grandma Gladys' famous peach cobbler to the friendly competitions over collard greens and potato salad those recipes and those moments are at the heart of everything we serve. Kevin spent 12 years traveling the NBA, eating in 28 cities, always searching for that taste of home. What he found along the way inspired a dream: to take the best traditions of African American cuisine and elevate them with impeccable service, a vibrant atmosphere, and a space where everyone belongs. The result is Fixins Soul Kitchen a full-service soul food experience rooted in Black Excellence. Here in Tulsa's historic Greenwood District (Black Wall Street), every plate we serve is a tribute to the resilience, culture, and legacy of this community. Come hungry. Come as you are. This is your kitchen too. [read more]
